The wait is over: CHANGO SPASIUK will be releasing his new album 'PYNANDI - Los Descalzos' on World Village/Harmonia Mundi on 16 Feberuary 2009. The album was recorded at ION, Buenos Aires' finest studio, produced by Bob Telson (Bagdad Cafe) and engineered by Jorge Da Silva (Cafe de los Maestros).
Chango will be ptresenting the new album ON TOUR in Europe in February/March and in the USA in March/April.

TARTIT finally back in the UK!

After several years of a gap, the wonderful Tuareg women of Ensemble TARTIT will be coming back to the UK. They will be part of this years 'Ramadan Nights' at the Barbican (29 Sept, double bill with Baseekou Kouyate - see more here), as well as some additional UK concerts (for dates see here).

Body Mind & Soul - the Music Crossroads competition winners visit the UK!

Winners of the Music Crossroads youth music project in Southern Africa, BODY, MIND & SOUL will be showing off their subtle mix of traditional and contemporary Malawian music during their winner tour of Europe. Among many other European dates, they will visit the Africa Oye festival in Liverpool, the Junction Festival in Clonmel/Ireland and also 10 schools in Ealing/London! A special project for KAPA Productions, with support from Arts Council England.
